Every moment is unique. Transience is the nature of our lives. Inspired by the Japanese aesthetic philosophy "mono no aware" - the gentle awareness of life's impermanence - Jens Fölting tries to capture the fragile beauty of the fleeting moment in colors and forms. In our fas-paced world, his paintings invite the viewer to pause, reflect and (re-)discover the subtle beauty in seemingly everyday moments and thus to find a deeper connection to the present.
