SPIRITS is a painterly exploration of the invisible and an attempt to give form to what each of us perceives in our own way.

Who appears to us in dreams, during meditation or prayer, while reading a book, in moments of silence, or in conversation with ourselves? Are they memories, archetypes, fears, images from the subconscious — or reflections of our own inner selves?

The faces in SEMIRA’s paintings emerge from colour, light and darkness, as though existing on the boundary between reality and imagination. They do not offer clear answers, but invite the viewer on a philosophical and psychological journey into the depths of consciousness.

Each work becomes a kind of mirror: when looking into the image, the viewer encounters not only the figure depicted, but also their own inner world. For this reason, everyone will discover something personal in SPIRITS — something familiar, unsettling, mysterious or deeply intimate.
